Support, parts and warranty

A machine that works several hundred hours a season needs a support answer before it needs a sales pitch. Here is how the A60i is looked after once it is on your property.

A quality record per machine

Every A60i is inspected against a factory QC checklist before it ships, and that record is kept against the serial number rather than filed and forgotten.

A service file that follows the serial

Inspections, parts fitted, modifications and maintenance history accumulate against the machine for its life. When a part is needed years later, its configuration is known rather than guessed.

Parts direct from the manufacturer

Wear parts — blades, filters, belts, tires — and major components ship direct, or through your dealer where one is appointed in your territory.

Commissioning and training

Setup includes defining work areas and no-go zones, establishing the RTK correction source, and training whoever will be responsible for the machine day to day.

Remote diagnostics

The machine reports its own status. Most "it stopped" calls can be diagnosed before anyone drives to the site, which is the difference between a phone call and a lost day.

Engineering access

Buying direct from the manufacturer means technical questions reach people who can answer them. That does not change after the invoice.

What ownership actually involves

Autonomy removes the operator. It does not remove the owner. Budget for these, because they are real and they are small compared to what the machine displaces:

  • Refuelling. A two-minute job, on your schedule rather than a charging cycle's.
  • Blades. Three discs on a 60-inch deck, sharpened and replaced like any commercial rotary deck — more often in sandy or abrasive conditions.
  • Routine engine service. Ordinary small-engine maintenance on the range extender: oil, filters, plug.
  • Seasonal setup and shutdown. Storage, fuel handling and battery state of charge over the off-season.
  • Somebody responsible. One named person who owns the machine, rather than "the grounds team". Machines with no owner are the ones that end up parked.

Combined, this is the basis for the roughly $10 per acre direct running cost used on the price page and in the calculator.

Support questions

What warranty does the machine carry?

Two years. The detailed terms are confirmed in writing with your quotation, because what is covered locally varies with destination and with whether a dealer is servicing the machine in your territory. Ask for the terms for your territory and we will send them before you order, not after.

How quickly can we get parts?

Wear parts are stocked and ship promptly. For major components, lead time depends on destination. We recommend dealers and larger operators hold a small blade and filter stock on site — those are the parts that stop a machine on a Friday afternoon.

What happens if the machine stops mid-job?

It stops safely and reports status rather than continuing on a degraded solution — including if it loses RTK correction. Remote diagnostics usually identify the cause before anyone drives out.

Can our own technicians service it?

Yes, and we would prefer it. The machine is deliberately serviceable with ordinary shop tools, and we train your people at commissioning.

Is there a battery replacement cost down the line?

The pack is shallow-cycled by the range extender rather than deep-cycled daily, which is a much gentler duty than a battery-only machine imposes. There is no scheduled pack replacement event of the kind that typically lands in year four or five on battery-only equipment. Why →

What do you need from us to quote support?

Location, how many machines, whether there is a dealer in your region, and what your own service capability looks like. Send those over and we will be specific.

Talk to us about your property

Tell us the acreage, the terrain and how often it gets cut. We will come back with a realistic assessment of what one A60i does on your site, and what it costs.
